4. Storage of propylene glycol
Measures for safe operation: do not inhale or touch this product. Use only in ventilated areas. Wash thoroughly with water after handling or use.
Conditions for safe storage: Although this product does not spontaneously ignite, it is flammable. Long-term storage does not deteriorate, but the opening absorbs moisture. Storage and transportation containers should be made of galvanized iron drums, aluminum or stainless steel. Storage and transportation in accordance with the general provisions of low toxic chemicals. Avoid contact with water and damp environment. Storage tanks must be kept clean, dry and rust free. It must be stored in an area with embankments, air circulation, and protection from the sun and from open flames and other heat sources. Nitrogen sealing is recommended for large storage tanks (capacity 100 m or more). Keep container airtight. Keep it dry.
